Not A Card for Daisy Doodles

The last challenge at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges is now closed so it is time to vote on your favourite card made with pink and one other colour.  The challenge this week for  is to create Anything But A Card.  I hope more of you will jump on board this time and share a creation with us.  You have two weeks to enter your project and it can be a scrapbook page, an altered item, a bookmark, a gift box or holder and the list goes on.

Don't let it stop you if this is a little outside your comfort zone and you have never done this before because aside from cards the only other thing I have done before now is to make a few scrapbook pages.  I had plans for more but the card making addiction took over.  But back to the challenge - if I can do it, I'm sure you can do it and I can't wait to see your awesome projects.

I found a spiral bound journal and decided to alter it.  I didn't want to take the binding out and run the risk of not being able to re-insert it so I included some black in my design to tie everything together.  I recently purchased the Sentimentals cartridge for my Cricut machine and I used it to make the butterfly, the flourishes and the sentiment background.  Note To Self:  Use Cricut more often:)

I thought I would enter my project in the following challenges:

For Fun Challenges - Anything But A Card
AI Factory - Anything But A Card
Simon Says  - Things with Wings
Dare U 2 Digi Stamp  - Flowers
Creative Belli  - Die Cuts
Sew Many Challenges  - Anything Goes
One Stitch At A Time - Flowers

The Daisy Doodles image is called Spring Mouse and can be purchased here or here.  Can you see the little mouse hiding in the watering can?  The image has been coloured using a combination of Prismacolor and Koh-I-Noor pencil crayons.  Maybe it should be called Summer Mouse since I have coloured the flowers as sunflowers.  It is hard to see but the watering can resembles an old fashioned tin can with metallic gold handles and spout.  The papers are from American Traditional Designs and Basic Grey.  The cardstock is Recollections (Michaels).  The sentiment is computer generated.  Other supplies used:  Brads (Making Memories), Chalk (Mungyo), Wire (Artistic Wire), Beads (my stash), Flower Punches (EK Paper Shapers), Nestabilities (Spellbinders) and Sentimentals Cartridge (Cricut).
