Sassy Button Christmas

This week the challenge at Sassy Cheryl's is to create a card with buttons.  I am on a mission to get a head start on my Christmas cards so when I saw this image in her shop, I knew I had to have it.  The buttons were taken from a costume that my Mother-in-Law made for a party a very long time ago.  She went as Buttons (in a dress literally covered in buttons of every shape, colour and size) and my Father-in-Law went as Bows (in a suit covered in handmade bows).  I also found this unique Christmas paper when I played hooky last week and went into Toronto for lunch with my daughter.  No trip is complete unless you do some craft supply shopping and we have a Sandylion Sticker warehouse outlet store not too far from my daughter's office so I was able to do some serious damage there.

The Sassy Cheryl image is called Delivery Boy Santa and has been coloured with Prismacolor pencil crayons.  Because he looked more like a frazzled elf to me, I coloured him in more green than red.  The paper is Kelly Panacci for Sandylion Stickers and the card stock is Recollections (Michaels).  The sentiment is a companion piece for the paper.  Other supplies used:  Vintage Photo Distress Ink (Ranger), Fiskars Snowflake Texture Plate, EK Paper Shapers Circle Punches, Large Circle Stencil, Hemp Cord (Jewellery Essentials), Star Dust Stickles (Ranger) and Buttons (my Mother-in-Law's stash).
