Today we have a new challenge for you at Delightful Challenges called "It is beginning to look like Christmas" and it is perfect for this time of year. I don't know anyone who doesn't want to get a head start on their Christmas cards even though Halloween hasn't even passed by yet. I think I am now up to 10 cards so that only leaves 30 or so to go. I am now debating whether I will save these cards for very special people and just not send any more or to mass produce a bunch for the rest - hmmm.
I am going to issue a disclaimer for this card because I am not happy with the colouring (my apologies to Wendy). I work with pencil crayons blending them with odorless mineral spirits and for some reason the computer ink is smearing so I had to spray this with a workable fixative and now it looks grainy. The red on her dress didn't come out as brightly as it usually does even though it will never look as crisp and bright as it would if it were coloured with Copics. Note to husband -my birthday and Christmas are coming and Copics would make a lovely gift - lol. It does look better in real life but you aren't here to see that.
Please show us your Christmas paper crafting project and if it features an image from Digital Delights by Louby Loo, follow the instructions and enter it twice for an extra chance to win the prize package. Check out the work of the other members of the design team and you will see that we have some brand new designers to show their work this week.
This week Wendy is offering all three DVD collections as a prize (value $34.99). Wow, what a great prize, so lets see lots of entries.
I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown - Anything Goes
Cinema Saturday - Something Hand Cut or Die Cut

Cec, this card is beautiful!! Don't be so hard on yourself! I think what you're calling a grainy look actually looks like some awesome texture on her dress! Love all the embossing too!

Cec,
ReplyDeleteI think the coloring gives the clothing texture. Super cute! It looks perfect to me.

Just darling Cec:)
ReplyDeleteI love the card, Cec! Beautiful colors and your image is perfect. So glad I am part of the team!
ReplyDeleteShe's adorable, Cec! Try "setting" your computer ink with a heat tool (or blow dryer) for a few minutes before using it. Alternatively, let it sit overnight before you start coloring it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful Creation!! I love the layers and the textures with that cutie image! Thanks for joining us at TT this week.
