Patty in Purple

The challenge at Phindy's Place is to create a project with stitching (real or faux).  I have so much on my plate right now that I didn't think I would be able to participate this week but I quickly designed a little card yesterday and took pieces of it with me when I went to Toronto that could be stitched by hand while I visited my Niece and her family.  In the past, I have tried to use my sewing machine with no success and I really don't want to damage it as I do some sewing for my granddaughter so I pierced all the holes and used embroidery floss to create the stitching.  The card feels thrown together and is not my favourite but I did like the stitching and will take a little more time and make another card soon with hand stitching on it.

I think someone should point my husband in the direction of this post so he can see that I am trying to save money and not always spending on craft supplies.  How you ask - well the flowers started out life as white with pink polka dots and I painted them rather than buying new ones.  I call it going green or re-purposing and that's my story and I am sticking to it.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

My Time to Craft - Check it Out
