In Canada and the US, this Sunday is Mother's Day and even though Mother's Day has already come and gone in the UK and other countries, making a card for that very special person in your life can (and should) be done at any time.
I am fortunate to still have my 88 year-old Mother-in-Law in my life but sadly my own Mother passed away 18 years ago. She was very creative and would love the cards I am making and would probably be offering suggestions on how to improve them :) Since my Mother is gone, I decided to make this card to honour a different Mother, my daughter. She has two little people and she is an awesome Mother, which surprises me slightly because as a child she did not like to play with dolls. In addition to the sentiment on the outside, I added the following verse inside:
The joy of watching you
grow into motherhood
has been such a blessing,
and seeing you
with your own children
brings more pride
than you could know.

The image from Isabella's Sketchbook is called Loving Guardian and has been coloured with a combination of Prismacolor and Koh-I-Noor pencil crayons. The papers are from scrap packs but since I took the packs apart, I am sorry that I do not have the designer information. The card stock is Georgia Pacific from a local office supply store. The sentiment is computer generated.
