Christmas Scraps

Our challenge to you this week at Phindy's Place is to make a card using up your SCRAPS. We want you to use those little pieces of paper leftover from other projects - hopefully nothing larger than 3 square inches.

You don't have to use a Phindy image but if you do, follow the instructions on the sidebar and enter your card twice.  There are two winners each week - one random and one chosen by the Design Team.  If you don't have any Phindy images, then pop right over to her store and pick up one or two of the fabulous digis that you will find there.

This challenge at Phindy's Place will be the last one for 2011 and will run until January 6th so you have lots of time to enter.  The Design Team is going to enjoy this break but we have a bunch of wonderful challenges lined up for you in the New Year so check back on January 6th to see what we have planned.

I have two boxes that I put my bits and pieces in (one for card stock and one for designer paper) and for the longest time, I ignored them because it was so hard to find anything. One day a couple months ago, I had an ah-ha moment and sorted it all out, organizing each box into colour families and then put each into a zip lock plastic bag. Now, when I open the box, I just find the bag holding the colour I am looking for and I can quickly determine if there is something useful in the bag. Now, if only the rest of my craft room was as organized but maybe that is a project for the holidays.

I made this card intending to send it out but didn't need it because I had made more than enough so I can say I have the first card for 2012 made - what a head start.

I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:

Party Time Tuesdays - Red & Green Christmas
Crafty Boots - Christmas
Creative Stamp Friends - Christmas
Hooked on Crafts - Christmas
Pollycraft - Christmas Fun
Dream Valley Challenges - Christmas
4 Crafty Chicks  - Christmas
