Father's Day at Daisy Doodles

Father's Day is fast approaching and Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges has challenged us all to make Father's Day cards.  Now that Daisy's new store is open, there are a number of new images available and this sailboat is part of the Summer Fun release and perfect for a card for a man, don't you think?

I am away this week moving my 88 year-old Mother-in-:Law into a senior's lodge.  This is going to be a really tough week for her and by extension, for us too but it is time and we will feel more comfortable about her safety.  She lives 2000 miles away, so we can't check on her daily as we would like to.  During this time I won't have a computer and therefore won't be able to approve your comments as you make them but I will be sure to do that when I return on June 12th so please feel free to leave them because I enjoy reading them very much. Besides, I know I will need some loving after the stress of this week.

The image has been coloured with Prismacolor pencil crayons.  The papers are from Sandylion Sticker Designs and my stash.  The card stock is also from my stash.  The sentiment was created by me on the computer.  Other supplies used:  Chalk (Mungyo), Card Candy (Craftworks Cards), Sun Punch (Marvy Uchida), Water Drops Texture Plate (Fiskars) and Yellow Stickles (Ranger).

  1. It's absolutely perfect, the color combo works so well and I love the balance of embellies! Beautiful colouring!

  2. Your card is gorgeous, Cec!

I hope things are going well with your MIL. You know you're doing the right thing in your heart. Her safety is of prime concern.

  3. Love how you did your card and the boat is super. Ships Ahoy!

  4. Oh I love your card this is such a lovely DAD your it also Daisy Doodles? Wonderful card for a Father...hugs, Monika

I love to hear what you think about my work, so please leave me a comment.
