Today, we have been challenged at Sugar Creek Hollow to make a card using the colours Early Espresso (dark brown), River Rock (sand/tan)and Baja Breeze (bluish-green). I have used two images from the wonderful winter collection at the Sugar Creek Hollow store to make this Christmas card. While these aren't traditional Christmas colours, I think they are awesome.
EDITED TO ADD: If you want to play along in the great colour challenge, hop over to the Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge Blog and enter your card using Mister Linky (found under the lovely creations of the design team) for a chance to win a free digi of your choice.
I went into Photoshop and changed the colour of this butterfly to come as close as I could to the requested colour. I think I need to get my monitor calibrated to match the Panetone colour system because it looked good on the screen but didn't print quite as closely. The brown crinkly ribbon for the double loop bow is just brown seam binding that I hit with my heat gun. If you want some beautiful hand-dyed crinkly ribbon in a variety of colours, you can find that at the Sugar Creek Hollow store too.
I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:
One Stitch at a Time - Use your digi stamps/papers
