Spring is in the Air or Is it?

The challenge this week at Phindy's Friday Challenge blog is to create a card celebrating Springtime.  For those of us in traditional snow belts, spring is ages away yet and we can only dream that it is in the air.

When I was a kid, we had a really long clothesline and no dryer so everything was hung on the line all year round.  In the kind of weather we are experiencing now, the sheets came inside frozen stiff so then my Mom would have to drape them over every chair to allow them to thaw and warm up.  The clothes smelled divine when dried on the line but the best was the way they smelled in the spring.  My dryer broke last summer and I had to put some clothes outside to dry on a rack and even with warm weather, the clothes took ages to dry and weren't soft and fluffy so I concluded that I am sticking with a dryer.

I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:

Pile It On - Bright and Breezy
One Stitch at a Time - Do it with a Digi
Catch the Bug - Anything Goes
Alphabet Challenge  O is for Orange

Image:  Spring Breeze (Phindy's Place)

  7. This is so pretty. Orange is my favorite color and the grouping of flowers is just stunning. Love your coloring, also. I have fond memories of line drying clothes at my Nana's in the summer, I know that wonderful smell you are talking about.
